Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg with a fork.
  2. Add the oil and milk to the beaten egg and mix well.
  3. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill muffin tins two-thirds full with the batter.
  6. Put a small piece of butter on top of each muffin.
  7. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar on top.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.
