Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 Tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup yeast flakes
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup dry onion flakes
  • 1 1/8 cup Vegeburger
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • dash garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Boil water, soy sauce, and all ingredients except oats and soy sauce together.
  2. Stir in oats and soy sauce and bring to a boil again.
  3. Turn off heat. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. Brown the patties in an oil-rubbed frypan for about 12 minutes on each side.
  5. Serve with mushroom gravy or tomato sauce.
  6. Garnish with parsley or onion rings.
