Ingredients

  • 4 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cups honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 0.75 cups melted margarine

Instructions

  1. Stir together brown sugar, honey, vanilla, and melted margarine until well combined.
  2. Add oatmeal and chopped pecans to the mixture.
  3. Stir very well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  4. Press the mixture into a jelly roll pan.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes at 425° to 450°F.
  6. Remove from oven and lightly score the bars with a silver knife.
  7. Let cool slightly before cutting into small squares.
  8. Allow the bars to cool almost completely before removing from the pan.
