Tips & Substitutions

For a vibrant Oklahoma Caviar, choose fresh ingredients if possible, such as ripe tomatoes instead of canned. You can substitute black beans with pinto beans for a different flavor. Adjust the cayenne pepper to your spice preference; consider adding a diced jalapeño for extra heat. To enhance the flavor, let the dish marinate longer than overnight if time allows.

Serving Suggestions

Oklahoma Caviar is perfect as a dip with tortilla chips or served as a side salad. It pairs beautifully with Hyden Salad Or Ripe Tomato Relish for a colorful meal. Consider serving it alongside grilled meats or tacos for a complete meal. Fresh cilantro or avocado can also be added for an extra layer of flavor.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flavors will continue to meld, making it even tastier. Avoid freezing, as the texture of the beans and corn may change. When ready to enjoy again, simply drain excess liquid and serve cold as a refreshing dip.
