Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. soft butter
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 1/2 c. (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 c. hot water

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, butter, flour, baking powder, and evaporated milk in a bowl.
  2. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Spread the batter evenly in an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf dish.
  4. Spread cherry pie filling over the batter.
  5. Pour hot water over the cherry filling.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
