Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add the milk, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased large cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20 minutes.
