Ingredients

  • 1 quart fruit, put through blender
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 4 teaspoons soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • about 3 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  3. Blend the fruit until smooth.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the blended fruit, sugar, and oil.
  5. Add the soda, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon; mix well.
  6. Stir in the raisins and chopped nuts.
  7. Gradually add enough flour (about 3 1/2 cups) to make a sticky batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
