Old South Pecan Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup ground pecans
  • 2/3 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400*F.
  2. In a medium bowl mix together dry ingredients.
  3. In another bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter.
  4. Add all at once to dry ingredients and stir until moistened.
  5. Pour into a greased 9" square baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Enjoy!
