Ingredients

  • 1 large fryer chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 tablespoon sage
  • about 3 cups cornbread
  • 3 slices bread
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Boil the whole fryer chicken until tender.
  2. Debone the cooked chicken.
  3. Keep the chicken broth in the cooker on top of the stove.
  4. Add all ingredients: deboned chicken, chopped onion, celery, sage, cornbread, bread slices, and eggs into the broth.
  5. Let the mixture cook for about 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof dish and bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
