Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 sq. bitter chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until soft and fluffy.
  2. Add chocolate which has been melted over hot water.
  3. Add eggs which have been thoroughly beaten.
  4. Add flour, salt, baking powder, vanilla, nuts and milk.
  5. Pour into two 9-inch pans and bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
