Ingredients

  • 1 large piece flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup shoyu
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 to 2 eggs, beaten
  • flour
  • green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine the shoyu, sugar and garlic to make the marinade.
  2. Soak the sliced flank steak in the marinade for 1 to 2 hours to absorb flavor.
  3. Add chopped green onions to the steak after marinating.
  4. Coat each steak piece in flour, then dip into beaten eggs.
  5. Fry the coated steak in a small amount of oil over medium heat until cooked through.
  6. Do not deep fry; cook just until the steak is browned and crispy.
