Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 beaten egg white

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Pat the mixture evenly on the bottom and sides of a 10-inch pie plate.
  4. Brush the bottom with beaten egg white.
  5. Chill the crust while preparing the filling.
