Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 piece of butter the size of an egg
  • 3/4 c. sour milk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 medium orange (peel)
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, eggs, butter, sour milk, and baking soda.
  2. Grind the orange peel and raisins twice.
  3. Add the ground orange peel and raisins to the mixture.
  4. Add flour and salt to the mixture.
  5. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
  6. Make glaze from the juice of the orange and sugar.
  7. Spread the glaze on the cake while hot.
