Ingredients

  • 1 (No. 2) can cherry pie filling (2 1/2 cups)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 package refrigerated orange Danish rolls

Instructions

  1. Combine the cherry pie filling, water, sugar, lemon juice, and butter in a saucepan and heat until boiling.
  2. Pour the hot cherry mixture into an 8 1/4 x 1 3/4-inch round ovenware dish.
  3. Place the refrigerated orange Danish rolls, cut side up, on top of the hot cherry mixture.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until the rolls are done.
  5. Spread the icing from the Danish roll package over the tops before serving warm.
