Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cream
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 3 1/2 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, then add warmed milk, margarine, and cream.
  2. Add salt and beaten eggs, then stir in flour and floured raisins.
  3. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into hot fat and fry until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and glaze once cooled.
