Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash hot sauce
  • 6 cups torn romaine lettuce
  • 5 cups torn iceberg lettuce
  • 1 1/2 cups orange sections
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cooked, crumbled bacon

Instructions

  1. Combine vegetable oil, sugar, vinegar, salt, and hot sauce in a jar.
  2. Cover tightly and shake vigorously until well blended; set aside.
  3. Combine torn romaine lettuce, torn iceberg lettuce, orange sections, toasted slivered almonds, and sliced green onions in a large bowl.
  4. Pour the dressing over the lettuce mixture immediately before serving; toss gently.
  5. Sprinkle with cooked, crumbled bacon before serving.
