Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oleo
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 cups grated apples
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream oleo, sugar, and eggs together.
  2. Add flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the mixture.
  3. Stir in vanilla, grated apples, and nuts.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with sauce.
