Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. stew beef
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean pork
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 chicken
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 18 oz. barbecue sauce
  • 1 large onion
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook and bone the chicken.
  2. Cook stew beef and pork until well done, adding water as needed.
  3. Combine beef, pork, and chicken in a large open pot.
  4. Add tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, chopped onion, and ground beef.
  5. Stir constantly and simmer very slowly for about 1 hour, adding extra sauce or water if needed to prevent sticking.
