Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using melted butter instead of margarine. You can also substitute maple syrup for brown sugar for a different sweetness. If you don't have pecans, walnuts or almonds work well too. Ensure to shake the flour evenly in the bag to prevent sticking. Remember to check the biscuits for doneness before the full baking time, as oven temperatures can vary.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the sticky buns warm, drizzled with extra orange juice or a simple glaze for added sweetness. They pair wonderfully with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk. For a complete breakfast, consider serving them alongside scrambled eggs or fresh fruit. This dish is perfect for brunch gatherings and can be a delightful addition to any American recipes collection.

Storage & Reheating

To store leftover sticky buns, let them cool completely, then place them in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for up to two days or refrigerated for up to a week. To reheat, place them in a microwave for about 15-20 seconds or in an oven set to 350°F for about 10 minutes for a warm, gooey treat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use frozen biscuits instead of refrigerated ones?

Yes, you can use frozen biscuits, but make sure to thaw them completely before placing them in the bag. This will help them bake evenly and achieve the desired fluffiness. Adjust the baking time slightly if needed, as frozen biscuits may take a bit longer to cook through.

What can I do if I don't have a Reynolds Cook Bag?

If you don't have a Reynolds Cook Bag, you can use a regular baking dish covered tightly with aluminum foil. Just ensure the foil is secure to trap steam inside, allowing the biscuits to bake properly. Keep an eye on the cooking time, as it may vary slightly without the bag.

Can I make this recipe ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare the sticky buns the night before. Assemble the ingredients in the bag and refrigerate it overnight. In the morning, remove it from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking. This allows the ingredients to meld and results in a more flavorful dish.
