Ingredients

  • 3 lb. round steak
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 3/4 c. ketchup
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the round steak into 10 serving pieces.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the meat in vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Remove the browned meat and transfer to a Dutch oven.
  4. In the skillet, add chopped onions, ketchup, water, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and salt; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour the ketchup mixture over the meat in the Dutch oven.
  6. Cover and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 2 hours.
