Oven Barbeque Chicken
Juicy oven-baked barbecue chicken with tangy ketchup, cider vinegar, and sweet brown sugar, perfect for casual family dinners or summer cookouts with bold flavors.

- Preheat oven to 375°F (moderate).
- Place the chicken skin side up on a rack in a large shallow pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
- Saute chopped onion in margarine until golden.
- Add ketchup, cider vinegar, brown sugar, and pepper to the onion. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove chicken from oven and turn pieces skin side down.
- Spoon some sauce over the chicken and bake for 15 minutes more.
- Turn chicken pieces skin side up and spoon remaining sauce over them.
- Bake for 15 minutes more.
- Increase oven temperature to 425°F and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
