Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 8 pork chops
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 teaspoonful of vegetable oil and brown the pork chops on both sides.
  3. Place the browned pork chops in a casserole dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix chopped onion, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, water, vinegar, chili sauce, brown sugar, dry mustard, and hot pepper sauce.
  5. Pour the mixture over the pork chops.
  6. Cover the casserole dish and bake for 40 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
