Ingredients

  • 1 frying chicken, cut up
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • pepper to taste
  • paprika to taste
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can B&B mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a Pyrex baking dish in a preheated 400°F oven.
  2. Shake chicken pieces in flour, salt, pepper, and paprika mixture in a plastic bag.
  3. Place chicken, skin side down, in the melted butter.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes, then turn chicken and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  5. Heat the cream of chicken soup and mushrooms together on the stove, adding the liquid from the mushrooms.
  6. After the chicken browns the additional 15 minutes, pour the soup mixture over the chicken.
  7. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and continue cooking for 15 to 30 minutes until done.
