Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 1/4 cups sifted flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup cream-style corn

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
  3. Add milk and cream-style corn to the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir until a soft dough is formed.
  5. Turn out on a well-floured board or pastry cloth and knead about 15 times.
  6. Roll out in a rectangle 1/2-inch thick.
  7. Cut into 1-inch strips and then into 24 pieces.
  8. Roll each piece in the melted butter and arrange in the pan.
  9. Bake at 450°F (232°C) for 20 to 30 minutes.
