Instructions
- Put popped corn in a buttered bowl and set aside.
- Heat the butter, dark corn syrup, and brown sugar and bring to a boil.
- Add cream of tartar and reduce heat.
- Boil for 5 minutes (no more). Remove from heat and add soda.
- Pour over the popcorn and stir well.
- Spread caramel corn on a cookie sheet and bake in an oven at 225° to 250°F for 1 hour.
- Stir every 15 minutes.
- Let cool and store in a sealed container.
