- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with aluminum foil and cut the round steak into portions.
- Season the meat with salt and pepper.
- Place sliced onion on top of the meat.
- Layer potato slices over the onion and arrange drained mushrooms on top.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, catsup, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a bowl.
- Spread the mixture over the ingredients in the pan.
- Wrap the pan with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours at 350°F.
