Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/3 onion slices (1/4-inch thick)
  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar sliced drained mushrooms
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with aluminum foil and cut the round steak into portions.
  3. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
  4. Place sliced onion on top of the meat.
  5. Layer potato slices over the onion and arrange drained mushrooms on top.
  6. Mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, catsup, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a bowl.
  7. Spread the mixture over the ingredients in the pan.
  8. Wrap the pan with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours at 350°F.
