Ingredients

  • 12 slices white bread, crust removed
  • 1/2 lb. Jack cheese, grated
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Layer 6 slices of bread and half of the grated cheeses in the prepared pan.
  3. Repeat with the remaining bread and cheese.
  4. In a bowl, beat the eggs; add dry mustard and milk, then blend well.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the layered bread and cheese.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
