Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, add a bit more sour cream or use Greek yogurt as a substitute. If you're short on time, store-bought guacamole can replace the mashed avocados. Consider using black beans instead of refried beans for a different flavor profile. This dip is versatile, so feel free to add jalapeños for heat or swap in different cheeses based on your preference.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this delicious Pace Six Layer Dip with tortilla chips or fresh veggies for dipping. It pairs beautifully with Taco Salad Or Dip, making it perfect for parties or game day. For a complete meal, consider serving it alongside Mexican Chef Salad or a side of Mexi Rice to round out the flavors.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To prevent browning, press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the avocado layer before sealing the container. Reheat gently in the microwave if you prefer a warm dip, but be cautious not to overheat it, as it may alter the texture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this dip ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare the layers in advance, but it's best to assemble them just before serving to keep the avocados from browning. Prepare each layer and store them separately in the refrigerator. Just layer them in the serving dish when you're ready to serve.

What can I use instead of sour cream?

If you're looking for alternatives to sour cream, Greek yogurt works well and adds a tangy flavor. You can also use cashew cream for a dairy-free option, which will give a similar creamy texture without the dairy.

How can I make this dip spicier?

To add heat to your Pace Six Layer Dip, mix diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce into the avocado layer. You can also use spicy picante sauce instead of regular for an extra kick, or sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes on top before serving.
