Ingredients

  • 3 baguettes
  • butter
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 6 green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Using a slicer, cut baguettes into 1/2-inch slices.
  3. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  4. Arrange the slices in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  5. Broil until lightly toasted.
  6. Turn the slices over and broil the unbuttered side until lightly toasted.
  7. Transfer to a rack and cool.
