Ingredients

  • 1 loaf sliced white bread
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 6 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 6 green onions
  • 6 drops Tabasco sauce
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut crusts from the bread slices.
  2. Cut each slice into strips.
  3. Spread one side of each bread strip with melted butter.
  4. Place under the broiler and toast lightly on both sides.
  5. Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, Tabasco sauce, and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Spread the mixture on the buttered side of each bread strip.
  7. Pour Parmesan cheese into a shallow bowl and dip each spread side down into the cheese.
  8. Freeze the dipped strips.
  9. To serve, thaw slightly and broil until brown and bubbly, watching carefully.
