Parmesan-Walnut Bread

- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, grated Parmesan cheese, baking powder, and salt.
- In a small mixing bowl, stir together the beaten egg, milk, and walnut or cooking oil.
- Add the wet ingredients to the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Stir in 3/4 cup of chopped walnuts.
- Turn the batter into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining walnuts over the top of the batter.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Remove the loaf from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Wrap and store overnight before slicing.
