Pasta Di Maio
A flavorful Italian pasta dish featuring sautéed sausages, bell peppers, mushrooms, and a creamy white wine sauce, perfect for a quick yet indulgent meal for two.
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp. shallots, finely chopped ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. garlic, finely chopped ⓘ
- olive oil
- 3 Gebhardt sausages, steamed until done and thinly sliced ⓘ
- 1 red bell pepper, cut in strips ⓘ
- 1/4 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced ⓘ
- 1 green onion, green part only, finely chopped
- 1/4 c. white wine ⓘ
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. cream ⓘ
- salt ⓘ
- ground white pepper ⓘ
Instructions
- Saute shallots and garlic in olive oil until softened, approximately 1 minute.
- Add steamed and sliced sausages and vegetables; sauté until al dente.
- Add white wine and cook until slightly reduced.
- Pour in cream and simmer until the sauce reaches desired consistency.
- Season with salt and ground white pepper to taste.
- Toss the sauce with cooked angel hair pasta and serve.
