Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 green tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can chickpeas
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (6 oz.) can water

Instructions

  1. Crumble beef and cook until no longer pink.
  2. Stir in chopped onion, chopped green pepper, chopped green tomatoes, cumin powder, ground red pepper, and salt.
  3. Add the canned red kidney beans, chickpeas, tomato paste, and water.
  4. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
