Ingredients

  • 1 lb butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cans pie filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  2. Add sugar and mix thoroughly.
  3. Gradually mix in flour and baking powder until a dough forms.
  4. Spread half of the dough evenly on the bottom of a cookie sheet.
  5. Spread the pie filling over the dough layer.
  6. Crumble the remaining dough over the pie filling to cover it.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes at 400°F.
  8. Reduce temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 45 to 55 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar before serving.
