Ingredients

  • 1 (29 oz.) can peach halves
  • 1 package refrigerated caramel Danish rolls with nuts (8 rolls)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1 (7 oz.) bottle ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Drain peaches, reserving 1 cup of syrup.
  2. Cut up peaches and set aside.
  3. Crumble the sugar-nut mixture from the caramel rolls into a saucepan.
  4. Add flour, grated lemon peel, and 1/4 teaspoon salt to the saucepan.
  5. Stir in ginger ale and reserved syrup; mix well.
  6. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened.
  7. Stir in butter until melted.
  8. Add peaches to the mixture and bring to a boil.
  9. Pour the mixture into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
  10. Immediately separate the caramel rolls and arrange them atop the hot mixture.
  11. Bake at 400°F until done, about 25 to 30 minutes.
