Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 7/8 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Mix butter, flour, baking powder, salt, and 2 tablespoons sugar with a pastry cutter until like cornmeal. Save 1 cup of this mixture for topping.
  2. Pat the remaining mixture into the bottom of an 8-inch square pan to form a crust.
  3. Place sliced peaches evenly over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the peaches with 7/8 cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes at 400°F.
  6. Mix egg yolks and sour cream in a bowl.
  7. Pour the egg yolk and sour cream mixture over the baked peaches and crust.
  8. Bake for an additional 30 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
