Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar.
  2. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix after each addition.
  3. Sift together the flour, soda, and salt.
  4. Mix the sour cream and chopped peaches together.
  5. Alternately add the flour mixture and the sour cream-peach mixture to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour.
  6. Beat well after each addition.
  7. Stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 75 to 80 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
