A luscious peach torte featuring layers of buttery cake filled with sweet mashed peaches and cream cheese filling, topped with peaches and icing for a vibrant dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe yellow cake mix
  • 2 large packages cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 large can peaches
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake in 3 layers according to package directions.
  2. Mix the cream cheese, sugar, nutmeg, and milk until fluffy using an electric mixer.
  3. Drain the peaches; reserve the juice and mash the peaches, saving a couple for decoration.
  4. Add 1 cup of icing mix to the mashed peaches and stir to combine.
  5. Use this mixture to fill between the cake layers.
  6. Pour the reserved peach juice over each layer as you stack the cake, then add the filling.
  7. Top the cake and sides with plain icing and decorate with peach slices.
