Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup blanched peanuts

Instructions

  1. Mix butter, sugar, flour, and vanilla in a bowl; stir in 1/2 cup peanuts.
  2. Pat the mixture into an ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup peanuts over the top.
  4. Roll over all with a rolling pin to press the nuts into the surface.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 18 minutes.
  6. Cut into bars while warm.
