Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine coconut, melted butter, 2 tablespoons sugar, and graham cracker crumbs in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Mix well and spread in the bottom of the pan to form the base layer.
  3. In a mixing bowl, blend the remaining ingredients (except chocolate chips and pecans) at medium speed until smooth.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans into the batter.
  5. Spread the batter evenly over the graham cracker layer.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes until golden and set.
