Ingredients

  • 2 c. pecan halves
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1-inch square paraffin
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

  1. Microwave sugar, syrup, and butter for 3 minutes on High. Stir in paraffin to melt.
  2. Stir in pecan halves.
  3. Microwave on High for 7 to 12 minutes, checking frequently to prevent burning.
  4. Add baking soda quickly, stir well, and pour onto a greased surface.
  5. Allow to cool and break into pieces.
  6. Store in an airtight container.
