Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 9 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Blend in vanilla; add flour and nutmeg, mixing until well blended.
  3. Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Shape dough into finger shapes about 2 inches long.
  5. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 300°F for 18 to 20 minutes.
  7. While still warm, cook and roll each in powdered sugar.
