Ingredients

  • 2 cups beer
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 cake yeast
  • 2 boxes hot roll mix
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 beaten eggs

Instructions

  1. Heat the beer to boiling point.
  2. Add margarine to the beer until melted and let cool to lukewarm.
  3. Add yeast, hot roll mix, brown sugar, wheat germ, salt, and beaten eggs.
  4. Mix well until combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased bowl and let rise, covered, in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours.
  6. Knead the dough and shape into loaves.
  7. Let the loaves rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
