- Soften yeast in warm water.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, butter, salt, and hot water; stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool to lukewarm.
- Stir in egg and yeast.

- Stir in the remaining flour.
- The softer the dough, the lighter the rolls. Beat with a spoon for three minutes or until dough is smooth.
