Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. margarine or butter
  • 2/3 c. beef or chicken broth

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, cracked black pepper, and salt.
  2. Cut in margarine or butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Make a well in the center of the mixture.
  4. Add broth to the well; stir just until dough clings together.
