Ingredients

  • 4 cups squash, sliced and cooked
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix
  • 3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix cooked squash, margarine, and chopped onion in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine water, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the soup mixture into the squash mixture and stir well.
  4. Layer the mixture in a 3-quart casserole dish, starting with the squash mixture, then adding a layer of Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix, and repeating, ending with stuffing mix on top.
  5. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
