Ingredients

  • 6 chicken breasts
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp. chicken bouillon
  • 2 tsp. parsley
  • hot cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry.
  2. Combine oregano, seasoned salt, and pepper; rub over chicken breasts.
  3. Brown the chicken in butter over medium heat.
  4. Transfer the browned chicken to a 5-quart slow cooker.
  5. Add water, lemon juice, garlic, and chicken bouillon to the skillet; bring to a boil.
  6. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours.
  8. Baste the chicken occasionally during cooking.
  9. Add parsley during the last 15 to 30 minutes of cooking.
  10. Serve the lemon chicken over hot cooked rice.
