- Cream the butter at high speed for 3 minutes.
- Gradually add the sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.

- Add vanilla, butter flavor, chocolate flavor, and peppermint extract; mix well.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with the milk and sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
- Beat the mixture for 4 minutes until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a waxed paper-lined tube pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 75 to 90 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 5 minutes before removing.
