- Slice the potatoes and arrange them in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cut the butter into small pieces and scatter over the potatoes along with the sliced onion.
- Bake in a 300°F (150°C) oven until the potatoes are tender, about 30-40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and top with shredded mozzarella cheese, half of the tomato sauce, pepperoni slices, and the remaining tomato sauce.
- Bake until the cheese melts, about 10-15 minutes.
