Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat together the margarine and shortening until well combined.
  3. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
  4. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well.
  5. Add the flour mixture; beat until well mixed.
  6. Cover and chill for 3 hours.
  7. Roll out on a lightly floured pastry sheet and cut out with favorite cookie cutters.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 8 minutes, until lightly golden at edges.
